Heinz Trox Foundation: Change in the Foundation Council

Marie-Luise Fasse, who had been appointed to the Foundation Council by Heinz Trox on 1 December 2013, formally stepped down from her role upon reaching 70 on 17 June 2019. However, she continued as a temporary, acting member until her successor Mathias Brauner (of CERTUSS) was appointed. 

Marie-Luise Fasse was a member of the parliament of North-Rhine Westphalia for many years and also held a number of honorary positions. She was Deputy President of the German Forest Conservation Society SDW and Deputy Chairperson of a regional chapter of Volksbund, a humanitarian organisation that records, maintains and cares for the graves of German war casualties outside of Germany.

The farewell ceremony took place on 24 September. Said Professor Hans Fleisch, Chairman of the Foundation Council of the Heinz Trox Foundation: 'With Marie-Luise Fasse, an active and farsighted member is leaving the Council. But we are happy to welcome Mathias Brauner and are convinced that he will be an equally valuable member.'

Mathias Brauner, the new member of the Foundation Council, has been shareholder and Managing Director of CERTUSS since 2006. CERTUSS is a medium-sized manufacturer of steam generators and based in the city of Krefeld, near Neukirchen-Vluyn. The international company has 130 employees and generates revenues of 25 million euros. With its rapid steam generators for up to 2000 kg/h for industrial purposes, CERTUSS is leading the market in Europe. Mathias Brauner has also been one of the people chairing the local chapter of an association of family-owned businesses ('Die Familienunternehmer e.V.').

Mathias Brauner, shareholder and Managing Director of CERTUSS, based in Krefeld, is the new member of the Foundation Council of the Heinz Trox Foundation, Neukirchen-Vluyn.
