Fund-raising campaign
In July 2021, storms wrought major destruction across large swathes of Germany. In order to provide the people in the affected regions with assistance, the Heinz Trox Foundation joined forces with TROX GmbH immediately after the disaster by launching a donation campaign that ended up raising a total of EUR 120,000, which included a EUR 22,885 contribution from TROX GmbH employees and another EUR 20,000 from TROX GmbH as a company. The Heinz Trox Foundation itself contributed EUR 77,115. "We are absolutely delighted that so many TROX GmbH employees took part in our donation campaign," said Christine Roßkothen from the board of directors of the Heinz Trox Foundation. "We also need to thank TROX GmbH, who were extremely generous with their support for this campaign." "We were very happy to support the foundation's initiative because it meant we were able to provide assistance to people in need quickly and without unnecessary red tape," explains Thomas Mosbacher, CFO of TROX GmbH.Caption: At Metternich Castle on 4 November 2021, Christine Roßkothen (Heinz Trox Foundation, pictured centre) and Thomas Mosbacher (TROX GmbH Board of Management, pictured 3rd from right) awarded the donation – which was specifically earmarked for assisting the flood victims – to representatives from the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), the German branch of the Order of Malta (Malteser Hilfsdienst) and Johanniter International Assistance (Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe) in the form of three cheques, each made out for the sum of EUR 40,000.
