The Heinz Trox Foundation is an expression of the life's work of its founder, Heinz Trox. Founded in 1991, it paved the way for the continuation of TROX GmbH as an independent company. The object of the foundation is the advancement of scientific projects in the field of ventilation and air-conditioning technology and the support of social and cultural activities.
The Heinz Trox Foundation is based in Neukirchen-Vluyn on the left bank of the Lower Rhine. It holds 94 % of the shares in TROX GmbH, which is also based in Neukirchen-Vluyn.
TROX is a global leader in the development, production and sale of components, units and systems for the ventilation and air conditioning of rooms. With 33 subsidiary companies in 27 countries on five continents, 20 production facilities, and importers and representatives, TROX is present in over 70 countries. Currently, the TROX GROUP has around 4,950 employees worldwide and generates annual revenues of more than EUR 725 million.
The foundation's holdings in the TROX GROUP are its primary asset; its dividend distribution forms the economic basis for its sponsorship activities.
By the end of 2022, the total sponsorship volume of the Heinz Trox Foundation had reached approx. €8.1 million.
Science and research activities, which are the primary focus of the funding, received approx. €5.6 million, while social and cultural projects received
approx. €2.5 million.

We are especially committed to this motto which was created by our founder, Heinz Trox.
Human beings and their well-being are therefore at the centre of our business. This applies to our work in the scientific world as well as in the social and cultural sectors. Human well-being is ensured when people are provided with the essentials for daily life.

Communities are often unable to offer these necessities in the appropriate amount or quality to all their members. This is where our social commitment comes in.
We support projects:
We are a reliable partner when cooperating with third parties to develop projects which serve to improve human welfare.
Cooperation with third parties does not preclude the Heinz Trox Foundation from developing and operating its own projects.
Alongside project work, the Foundation will continue providing smaller grants for individual measures or institutions at the German TROX GmbH locations, a practice which was followed by the founder for over two decades.
Heinz Trox's view always comprised the whole world. With his view in mind, we will develop and participate in projects regionally, nationally and internationally.
We pursue active communication. This includes informing the public about our goals, projects and the use of resources.
The Foundation Board has five members. It advises, supports and monitors the Foundation Board within the framework of the Foundation Act and the Foundation Statutes.
